Mangawhai Golf Club is committed to actively trapping a wide range of pedators (stoats, ferrets, weasels and feral cats) on our course. We are part of the Mangawhai Predator Control Zone, a partnership project by the Shorebirds Trust and the Piroa Conservation Trust.

The purpose of this activity is to give our native birdlife the best possible chance to survive and flourish in our community. In the past year we have heard kiwi calling in the hills immediately surrounding the area being trapped, and two species of native parrot have been spotted during the past summer.
